Street & Documentary Photography

Everyday Life, Wherever I Find It

Street photography is often my favorite to look at. I have a deep respect for photographers who can capture narrative and emotion in everyday public life, because it is genuinely hard to do. Wherever I travel, I try to come away with some honest scenes of daily life. Some places make that easier than others. Cultural etiquette around photography, and even the way streets are organized, varies widely from country to country, and I work within the ethics of each place I visit. It is a lot like wildlife photography. Fewer rapid bursts to sift through, but you still have to take many frames to come away with a few that work.
