Landscape and cityscape photography requires more planning than most photos I take. The right light, the right position, the right moment to stop moving and actually look. Having started as an animal photographer, I am more trained to react. Learning to stop and study, to find composition before the shot, has been one of the more humbling parts of taking travel photos. Sometimes I get lucky. Sometimes I pull out the tripod. This genre is where I try to be most deliberate, and honestly, where I am still growing.
